Education

Cultivating Knowledge & Opportunity

We create an environment of learning in everything we do. MCM operates an on-site Primary school (MCM Academy for PreK - Standard 8) and tutoring programs. We then support students in secondary education and their highest achievable level of education including apprenticeships, vocational programs, college and university.

Pre-School: Early Start

MCM’s preschool prepares the youngest orphans to start learning early and ensures early brain development. Pre-schoolers begin to read, memorize, develop dexterity, count, and even to speak English.

Tutoring: Personalized Learning

MCM introduced after-school tutoring for children of all ages. The aim is to better equip children to excel in their studies. Classes are designed for small group learning as well as one-on-one interaction with qualified tutors. Our trained tutors ensure that the children remain engaged in their course work, regardless of their learning level.

Secondary School: A Gateway

MCM offers our older children the opportunity to continue their studies by providing scholarships to attend secondary schools offsite; including tuition, academic supplies, uniform, transport and meals. This sometimes includes renting homes and hiring “house mothers” for students to safely attend schools away from the community.

College & University: Becoming Leaders

Higher education provides MCM’s young adults the opportunity to discover their strengths, expand their potential and prepare for meaningful employment and leadership. With full scholarships and living stipends they are free to explore potentials and fulfill their dreams.

MCM Academy: A Foundation

Established in 2013, MCM Academy is designed for each child to achieve the highest level of education possible, offering 1:12 teacher to student ratio. Children are taught core subjects: Math, Science, English, Social Studies, Life Skills, and Agriculture in an independent school setting. Currently MCMA accommodates 150 children through standard 8.

Apprenticeships & Trade: Offers Vocation

Every MCM “child” has a unique educational pathway. Some are guided to apprenticeships and trade programs which provide them with a life long vocation offering the skills to be financially independent to support their families and contribute to the community.
